Desperate Housewives was an American television series of dramatic comedy created by Marc Cherry, produced by Touchstone Television and ABC Studios and broadcast on the American network ABC from 2004 to 2012. The series today is broadcast in several countries around of the world.

The series takes place in Wisteria Lane, a residential area, located in the imaginary city of Fairview, Eagle State. It is about 6 housewives, through their domestic lives, while several mysteries are revealed about their husbands, friends and neighbors.

María Conchita Alonso participated in the series as a guest star, in  the role of Lucía Márquez, mother of Gabrielle (Eva Longoria). Play a  lovely woman, sexy but with a twist  evil and whose relationship with his daughter Gabrielle is not  the best.  

​

Lucia reappears to Gabrielle's surprise, she needs a place to stay since she was abandoned by her boyfriend. Gabrielle is very sensitive due to the fact that she cannot be able to conceive children due to the injuries she suffered in an accident; so Lucía offers to be a surrogate mother. Carlos accepts the idea while Gabrielle seems reluctant since she knows that her mother is very opportunistic, always trying to take advantage of people in need.

Irreconcilable differences make Lucía decide to go to a hotel. Carlos tries to reconcile the relationship, but when he talks with Lucia about Gabrielle, he realizes how sad and irreparable his  relationship.
