Maneater is an adaptation of a novel by Gigi Levangie Grazer (author in addition to Divorce in Hollywood) starring  Sarah Chalke, who plays Clarissa, a 32-year-old single  whose biological clock and desire to have a boyfriend, lead her to put  her eyes on Aaron Mason (Philip Winchester), a wealthy man with whom Clarissa has a crush and with whom she begins to mentally plan her marriage, not knowing that his decision can radically change her life.

Gregory Harrison (Teddy Alpert) and Maria Conchita Alonso (Alejandra Alpert) play  Clarissa's parents. Alejandra is a feisty Hispanic mother, quite forgiving of her ex-husband, but is there to advise her daughter.

On Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st of May at 9PM ET (9PM ET), the actress will play the effervescent "Alejandra Alpert", mother of the protagonist "Clarissa Alpert" (Sarah Chalke). This dynamic combo of mother and daughter will show that "whoever inherits it does not steal it" is true with the manipulations and tricks that both use to achieve what they want causing tangles and laughter.

On the Lifetime series, María Conchita Alonso is the Latina mom of a society girl in her thirties who decides it's time to find a husband and strives to win over Beverly Hills's most coveted bachelor. The also singer exploits to the maximum her talent for comedy with the interpretation of the sexy Bolivian Jewish mother who is the best accomplice and confidant of her capricious daughter "Clarissa".

The four-hour soap opera is based on the follies of the eccentric women "Alpert" and Clarissa's 3 friends. MANEATER also stars Gregory Harrison as "Clarissa's" scammer father and "Alejandra's" ex-husband. Hilarious situations occur between ex-spouses who cannot live without each other despite their divorce, which irritates "Clarissa" excessively. Another Latino in a role in the soap opera based on Gigi Grazer's book is Shalim Ortiz, who plays "Pablo."
