"Don't go where the path takes you.
Go where there is no path and leave a path "

With this forceful phrase from the one of the leaders of transcendentalism, Ralph Waldo Emerson, the film The art of travel begins. "The Art of Traveling" is an independent film shot in Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Bolivia and California, it explores the passion for travel and how it can transform life.

The film rests firmly on some of the most beautiful places in Latin America. From Machu Picchu and the city of Cuzco in Peru, to the Panamanian jungle, passing through the beautiful city of La Paz in Bolivia,  recognized by the New Seven Wonders Cities Foundation for being one of the 7 Cities  Wonder of the World. The Uyuni salt flat also in Bolivia  largest continuous and high salt desert in the world, and  the Nicaraguan capital, Managua. It could be said that these landscapes definitely become one more character in the film.  It is they who are moving the story forward and who help us to reinforce its credibility.

Conner Layne (Christopher Masterson) is a young American who, wishing to leave behind a hard sentimental blow, decides to embark  in search of adventure, challenge yourself and leave your comfort zone taking on new challenges.

Conner learns to enjoy the simplest pleasures in life and will have to face the culture of petty crime and interact with very different fellow travelers. It will be accompanied by a  American couple Darlene and Christopher Loren  (Brooke Burns and Johnny Mesner) who wish to embark on an unimaginable path through the dense jungle of South America. The film also takes on romantic airs, focusing on Conner's relationship with Anna (Angelika Libera)

Maria Conchita Alonso and  Ernie Lively play Messrs. Layne, parents of Conner and Christina (Bijou Phillips), who in a comedy setting will be surprised by Conner's decisions but end up supporting him.
